Brent Calderwood’s work appears in Rolling Stone, Cineaste, Out, the Chicago Sun-Times, the San Francisco Examiner, and dozens of other publications. His cover story “Carnival Noir” for Noir City magazine was touted on Turner Classic Movies.

He has interviewed artists including Academy Award-winning director Guillermo del Toro, The Manchurian Candidate composer David Amram, women’s music pioneer Holly Near, Harvey Milk photographer Daniel Nicoletta, and the singer-songwriters Mary Lambert and Justin Vivian Bond.
